Country I would like to visit

Well, in my case, I would like to visit Japan because I have some interest about Japanese culture like kabuki theatre, food and paintings, but also I like Japanese pop culture such as manga, anime, movies and trends. Japan is an island country in East Asia and has a very interesting culture; actually I love ukiyo-e art, for example The Great Wave off Kanagawa is beautiful painting. About cuisine, I don´t have the best taste, because I only ate sushi and I am interested about eating gyosa, panko chicken, takoyaki, mocha and nabemono (a type of hot top foods).

I thought that I could study there, but I am more interested about tourism and visiting places, I would like to go to Tokyo, specifically Akihabara and Harajuku because I am kind of interested on anime, trends and kawaii stuff. Also, I might visit Mount Fuji, a beautiful natural place; also, Aoshima the island of cats is an interesting place. I would like to watch Kabuki theatre in real life because the visuals are very interesting and I love their makeup and outfits, it is very well done.

My future job

About my ideal job, I would like a job in which I can be able to show and apply all my skills and knowledge. I can imagine myself having a job related to social interventions like working in a NGO and being able to help people. Also, I feel more comfortable having an indoors job, but I don’t have any problems if I have to do outdoors job.  About salaries, to be honest, my ideal salary would be between $700.000 and $900.000 (966 USD and 1200 USD), actually I’m not excepting to earn a lot of money like millions, but at least I want to earn what is necessary to live in peace. I don’t see myself travelling a lot in my ideal job, because I would like to work in local places; but doing travels is cool too, because I can go to work at different places. To be honest, I would like to travel because of postgraduate studies. Actually I’m not studying a major, but I’m thinking to study a major about social interventions, specifically related to social struggles, social vulnerability and...

Postgraduates!

To be honest, I would consider taking a postgraduate course because I want to learn new knowledge and I want to strengthen my skills and qualities. I would like to study a postgraduate related to current topics like child protection, social struggles, politics, history and Human Rights. Actually I haven’t thought about taking a postgraduate in the future, but I would like to study in Chile or an Ibero-American country because I can speak the language without problems. Also, I don’t have any problem if I study abroad because I can learn new cultures and customs, while I’m learning new skills about specifics fields. I might like to study in face-to-face classes or doing part-time course, but I don’t have issues with distance learning. So, I decided to do my own research and I found a lot of courses that could be related to social work, but I might choose and study these postgraduate courses; the first one is Therapeutic and preventive interventions in harassment at University of Chil...

What's like to study Social Work?

Actually I’m studying Social Work at Universidad de Chile since 2020; I choose this career because of a sense of justice and dignity towards human beings. I’m interested about themes such as poverty, human development and life quality, so, I want to learn about the methodology for intervene in social problems, and I would like to support and help people. I like the curriculum of this career because is multi-disciplinary, at the moment, apart from learning about investigation methodology and different visions of Social Work, I’m learning social history, sociology, psychology, economy and statistics too. Studying Social Work online is still weird, because I studied Law offline (because of the same reasons) at 2019, and I lived the normal experience of studying in a university, and now, changing career and studying online is kind of hard because I feel that everything I do is being at my bedroom and sitting on my bed listening to classes; learning is difficult because I find it hard ...
